Only the roots should be in water. The stem and leaves must stay above the waterline. It’s often used this way in hydroponic displays.
Light
- Bright, indirect light is best.
- A few hours of morning sun is fine.
- Too much hot afternoon sun can scorch the leaves.
- More light = brighter red leaf color.
