Rotala bonsai leaves are small, thick, rounded to oval leaves arranged in opposite pairs. Short internodes, giving it a compact, bushy appearance. Upper leaves turning pink to red under strong lighting, while lower leaves stay greener.
- Light: Medium to high (high light brings out the pink/red color).
- CO₂: Strongly recommended for compact growth.
- Nutrients: A nutrient-rich substrate and regular dosing of nitrate, phosphate, potassium, and trace elements.
- Trimming: Trim the tops frequently and replant them to create a dense bush.
